 Wow, By This review is from: 2008 In Boston (W/Dvd) (Audio CD) What a fantastic concert, especially when enjoyed with a couple bottles of wine and the company of your wife, girlfriend etc. Superb performances all 'round, incredible musicians, storied guest performers, lesser known and incredibly talented artists with classic renditions of pop jazz tunes. Raises goosebumps and renders tears at times. Thus a DVD audience has to fast forward the talking to get to the music. How many times can you listen to Chris Botti say the same thing over and over again? If the chapter break is placed correctly then the DVD owner can skip to the beginning of the next song.The producer, Bobby Colomby, and director, Jim Gable, obviously have not listened to the most common criticism by Amazon customers that it is unacceptable to jumble music with lack of continuity. The best alternative is to always have a music only option. Chris Botti in Boston at the Symphony Hall could have been a great DVD but due to editing it is virtually un-playable EXCEPT maybe the first couple times. Botti and Sony should know better. It's a thing of absolute beauty...check out the talent involved at your favorite store, too much to mention here: incredible, diverse, uplifting, ethereal at times.
